Property Update: 7 Seventy
As we continue recovering from the damage caused by Tropical Storm Harvey, we wanted to provide you with an update on our recent activity and assessment. As you are aware, our property experienced extensive flooding. The property management office, fitness center, common areas, etc., continue to be underwater, as are approximately 35 apartments. Our contractors have set up operations at the back parking lot on Memorial Drive. For the approximately 55 downstairs apartments that we can access, we have been emptying refrigerators and will be removing carpet and sheetrock next. Fans and humidifiers will be placed in those units as well. Upon request, we will transfer apartment residents to one of our sister properties. We have taken photographs of every apartment interior prior to removing the sheetrock. If you live in one of the apartment affected by the flood and would like us to dispose of the items remaining your apartment, please let us know. We hope to have a portable office onsite in the next couple of days and will have someone on location from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day to assist you. Until electricity is restored, all breakers that we can access have been turned off and will remain so until our electricians can check the buildings once the power is back on. We have been on close contact with CenterPoint and hope that power will be restored in the near future. We are also exploring options to deploy an Aqua Dam around the remaining buildings holding water so that we can begin mitigation of the apartments. We realize that this has been very stressful for all of our residents and we appreciate your understanding and patience. We are here to support you and will keep you regularly updated on our progress as we move through this difficult process.
